AUTOMATIC HAT TIPPER, Patented Mar 10, 1896
By slightly bowing the head, the mechanism under the hat enabled the hat
to slip slightly forward, causing a most polite tipping of-the-hat.

EYE PROTECTOR FOR CHICKENS, Patented June 16, 1903
Specially designed goggles used to protect chickens’ eyes against the perils
of cockfights and eye irritations caused by barnyard soot, grime, etc.

COMBINATION CLOTHES BRUSH, Patented Jan. 31, 1893
This ordinary clothes brush had a flask and cup hidden beneath its bristles.
More interesting than our present brush, comb and show horn combinations.

PARACHUTE HAT, Patented Nov. 18, 1879
A durable parachute firmly affixed to a hat.
The invention was easy to don, and worked well when worn with thick
elasticized overshoes.

frightener_card_vm

LIGHT-UP MOUSE FRIGHTENER, Patented Sept. 16, 1884
This device terrified mice instead of killing them.
The secret was an irridescent paper cat, scented with mint.
One whiff and the mice were gone.
